Would You Rather

How It Works

Show one of the images and have them choose which they would rather have or do. If possible have them move from side to side to match what’s on the screen. If space is an issue, or you don’t want anyone leaving their seats, have them sit for one side and stand for the other. Have fun with it and feel free to mix the images up to make it different each time.

Use as many slides as you need for the time you have allowed. I typically use about 10-12 slides for a 5 minutes game.

Connecting the Lesson

I like using this game to help introduce a lesson topic. We first play the game then I use the “Would you rather” concept to help introduce our main topic. For example, after playing the game I might ask, “Would you rather lie or tell the truth? Today we’re going to see what God has to say about telling the truth vs lying”

Following Instructions

How It Works

The first few slides are for instruction. Begin the slide show and complete each round. If you see a number, repeat the action to match the number given. Use as many slides as you need for the time allowed. You can make it harder by changing slides around or going through them more quickly.

Connecting the Lesson

This is a great game to use for any lesson involving following instructions or obeying. You can also use this to help illustrate how God gives us examples to follow, and by looking to Jesus we know what to do. For example, I might say, “Just like you followed the symbols on the screen, we should follow Jesus because He shows us what to do.”

Extra Slides

There are extra slides available for adjusting and making alterations. You may use the “No Background” slides to create your own by using a slide creator software such as Powerpoint or Keynote.
