Basic First Aid, CPR, and AED

Basic First Aid, CPR, and AED is a complete first aid certification. It covers all the basics of first aid including adult, child, and infant CPR and AED.

Course Length: 4-5 hours

Skills Assessment is limited to 8 students at a time.

Basic First Aid

  • Introduction to injuries and the importance of First Aid
  • Scene Size-up, legal aspects, prevention of disease transmission
  • Injury Emergencies: Bleeding control, broken bones, head injuries, spinal injuries, burns, impaled objects, shock
  • Sudden Illnesses: Asthma, allergic reactions, seizures, diabetic emergencies, stroke…
  • Environmental Emergencies: Heatstroke, frostbite, poisoning, stings, bites

CPR and AED

  • Heart attack and cardiac arrest
  • Adult, child, and infant CPR
  • Compression only CPR
  • Airway obstructions
  • Using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
